Mobile World Congress is the world largest mobile industry exhibition and a congress that hosts chief executives of mobile operators, brand owners and latest IT solutions suppliers.
This year, at the press conference devoted to financial report for the first quarter of 2015, RIM’s CEO John Chen demonstrated new smartphones by Canadian company.
It is no surprise that except such devices as “TalkBand B2” smart watch by Huawei, Samsung Galaxy S6 ? Galaxy S6 Edge, HTC One M9 Sony Xperia M4 Aqua and new Xperia Z4 Tablet, ZenFone 2 and MeMO Pad 7 novelties by Asus, the visitors could find there the newest Blackberry smartphones – favorites of those, who seek for unique design and high performance in one device.
Open your eyes, close your mouth – and take a look at the new BlackBerry Leap! – Go to the next page!
This model seems to be created for young users who have just made their first step in a business world.
This is a Z3 “successor”, which means that Leap is also a “budget” phone. These two phones have similar design. Leap also looks respectable and has the same big screen.
There was no use to change design much. All users and professional designers really liked the Z3 design, so the manufacturer decided to make the same sharp corners and strict forms. They also left the rear textured panel that gives two advantages: it leaves no fingerprints and the phone doesn`t slip thanks to it.
The main changes are in smartphone`s hardware. Leap has more powerful processor, better camera and higher screen resolution.
• novelty has dimensions 144×72,8×9,5 mm and weights 170 gr;
• 5-inch touch screen with HD resolution 1280×720 (the density of pixels is 293 ppi);
• 2-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor with 1,5 HG? frequency;
• 2 Gb RAM;
• built-in flash memory 16 GB + MicroSD slot;
• main camera on a back panel has 8-megapixel sensor, system of automatic focusing and LED flash light;
• 2800 mAh battery provides up to 25 hours of active use;
• device runs on BlackBerry 10.3.1 OS.
Just like its successor Z3, BlackBerry Leap will be cheaper than other new RIM smartphones: it will cost about $275.
And now you`d better sit down and look over the new BlackBerry Priv Slider! Go to the next page!
“Priv” – BlackBerry slider
Everyone was astonished by a new BlackBerry smartphone model, which returns us to the times of Torch sliders fame. A year after BlackBerry Passport announcing, Canadians shocked the world with “unusual” designer solutions.
You must admit that the world haven`t seen powerful modern smartphones-sliders on the Android platform for a long time by now!
Most likely BlackBerry slider won`t be the thinnest smartphone in the world because of its construction. Nevertheless, reviews show that many users like the sliding keyboard without Passport “minimalism”.
You can see on photos that it will have additional buttons usual for QWERTY-keyboards by BlackBerry — sys, shift and others. Display`s edges will be curved.
• 5,4 inch screen with 2560×1440 pixels resolution;
• Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor;
• 3 Gb RAM;
• 32 Gb memory;
• two cameras – front (5 megapixels) and rear (19 megapixels), the rear one can take video in 4?;
• MicroSD slot;
• Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
You can be sure that it will have a battery with super capacity — a huge full touch display requires a lot of energy, and its performance should be not less than the one on Passport with its 4-core processor and 3 Gb of RAM.
Recently, BlackBerry representatives announced the release of new BlackBerry Porsche Design, also a slider. By now, its code name is “Keigan”.
